Privacy, in plain language.
This policy describes the current version of Rhyme Game at rhymegame.site and feedback sent to the project. Last updated September 4, 2026.
Who this policy covers
“We” refers to the operator of this independent Rhyme Game project. This page explains what happens when you play, use the feedback draft, or email us. It does not describe the practices of unrelated games with similar names or websites you reach through external links.
Your voice and game activity
The game does not request microphone access. It does not record, recognize, store, or upload your voice. Optional tap timing is calculated in your browser and is not sent to a score server. There is no player account or online leaderboard.
The introductory voice demo plays prepared audio files hosted with the site. Although these clips were made with an AI voice service, playing them does not send your speech or typed feedback to that service. Normal practice rounds use browser-generated beats and visual prompts.
What stays on your device
The game stores a completed-round count in browser local storage under the name rhyme-rounds. It displays how many practice rounds have finished on that browser. It is not a user identifier, does not sync between devices, and is not uploaded by the game.
The count remains until you clear the site’s storage or your browser removes it. You can remove it through your browser’s site-data settings; doing so resets the count. The game can still run if local storage is unavailable. In-memory settings and feedback drafts are not deliberately saved for a future visit.
Cookies, advertising, and analytics
We use a regional analytics setting. For visits identified as coming from the United States, analytics can load automatically unless you have declined it or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. In other regions, including Europe and China, and when the location cannot be determined, analytics stays off until you choose Allow. Closing the notice does not give consent. You can play the full game with analytics off.
The hosting platform supplies an approximate country from your connection. Our regional-setting endpoint returns only a tracking policy; it does not store your IP address or country in an application database, request GPS access, or call a separate location service. VPNs and proxies can affect this estimate. Cookie preferences in the footer is available in every region. Browser privacy signals take priority over a previous Allow choice.
Google Analytics 4 helps us understand page visits, game starts, completed rounds, and use of the introductory demo. Completing a round means its playback ended; it does not mean your speech was recorded or scored. Game events include the selected mode, tempo, beat, and round length, not your voice, tap scores, feedback text, or email address.
Google processes technical information about your browser, device, and connection and uses analytics cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits. We configure these cookies to expire after 395 days; subsequent visits can refresh their expiry. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google signals are disabled by our tag configuration. We do not offer accounts, advertising, or payments in the current game. See Google's Privacy Policy for its handling of information, including international processing.
Choose No thanks in Cookie preferences to turn off Google Analytics. Your choice is saved on this browser as rhyme-analytics-consent until you change it or clear site storage. Cookie preferences in the footer lets you change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent removes our analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the tag, so any active round or unsaved feedback draft will reset. It does not delete information already received by Google. Analytics retention also depends on the property's settings; contact us with questions or deletion requests. Hosting services still process the technical request information described below.
Drafting feedback versus sending email
Text entered on the Contact page stays in the page until you choose what to do with it. Copy feedback writes the text to your clipboard. Open in your email app passes the draft to your selected email application. Neither action sends an email automatically; you must send it from that application yourself.
If you send an email, we receive your sender address, any display name, the subject, message, attachments you choose to include, and ordinary email delivery information. We use this correspondence to answer questions, investigate bugs, consider suggestions, or handle privacy and content concerns. Sending a message does not sign you up for marketing.
Services involved in delivery
Vercel hosts this website and its audio files. It may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details, and timestamps, to deliver, troubleshoot, and secure the service. See the Vercel Privacy Notice for its practices.
Cloudflare provides the domain’s DNS service and Email Routing. Email sent to our support address is routed through Cloudflare to a support inbox hosted by QQ Mail. Cloudflare and the receiving mail provider process message content and delivery information as part of that process. Your own email provider also handles the message you send.
These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their handling of service records, security logs, and backups follows their own policies. You can review the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We do not sell support correspondence or publish a sender’s personal details as part of a bug report.
Retention and your choices
Email correspondence is kept in the support inbox while it is used to address the request and related follow-up. We have not configured a fixed automatic deletion schedule, so closing the website or finishing a support conversation does not automatically erase the email. Provider logs and backup copies have separate retention practices.
You can ask us what information we hold from your correspondence, request a correction, or request deletion. Contact us from the address used for the original message where possible and identify the relevant conversation. We may ask for limited information to verify the request. Any retention needed for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute will be explained when applicable; we cannot promise immediate deletion from providers’ backups.
Children and sensitive information
Playing does not require a name, age, school, address, or recording. Please do not include identifying information about children or sensitive personal details in feedback. A parent or guardian can contact us if a child has sent personal information and request its removal from correspondence we control.
Policy changes and contact
We will update this page before introducing features that change the described handling of information, such as accounts or payments. The date above identifies the latest revision.
