A small space to find your flow.
Rhyme Game is an independent browser project built around a simple idea: a beat, a word, and a moment to say it.
Why start with one word?
Making up a whole verse can feel like a lot when you are also trying to follow music. This game breaks that challenge into smaller steps. First, read a word and say it on the fourth beat. Next, try a suggested phrase. When that feels comfortable, keep the ending and invent your own beginning.
The round starts with one four-beat count-in. After that, the beat stays continuous while the next word or phrase is shown ahead, so you can prepare without stopping between lines. A short round is enough to try the idea, without signing up or preparing lyrics.
Who the game is for
You can use it as a casual word game, a speaking warm-up, or a first step into freestyle practice. English learners can begin with familiar words and a slow tempo. More confident speakers can use the same prompts to experiment with different phrases.
You do not need a particular accent or previous rap experience. The game does not grade pronunciation, fluency, or musical ability. If you are checking whether a word is pronounced correctly, use a trusted pronunciation resource alongside your practice.
Three ways to practice
- Say the word: focus on placing a single word on the fourth beat.
- Follow a line: read a supplied four-word phrase with one word on each beat.
- Freestyle: make up a phrase that ends with the displayed target word.
Choose the tempo and round length that suit you. Ordinary rounds provide a beat and visual prompts while you do the speaking. There is no microphone recording, online competition, or voice score.
Where the words and sounds come from
The site includes short practice phrases and a small, curated collection of rhyme families. The rhyme pages explain shared ending sounds and provide examples and writing prompts. They are starting points for practice, not an exhaustive dictionary. Different accents may make some pairs sound more or less alike.
The beat patterns are synthesized in your browser. The introductory spoken demo uses prerecorded, AI-generated audio made with MiniMax. It plays prepared examples; it does not listen to you or generate a personalized response. Your spoken words are not sent to an AI service.
An independent project, shaped by feedback
