A SMALL GAME WITH A GOOD GROOVE

Four beats. One word. You’ve got this.

You don’t need to rap to play the rhyme game. Start by saying one word at the end of each bar, then make it your own.

Read, then get ready

Every line appears before your turn. Read it during the four ready beats, then follow the highlighted pads.

Land your word

Say the big word on beat four. Your next word is already waiting, so you can keep the flow going.

Make it a line

Try a suggested phrase, or improvise your own. Let the final word land on the fourth beat.

What is a rhyme game?+

A rhyme game plays with words that share ending sounds. In this game, you say a supplied word on the fourth beat of a bar, then continue with the next word.

Do I need to be good at freestyle rap?+

No. Just saying the words on beat is enough. Follow a line when you want some help, and try freestyle whenever you feel ready.

Can I play the rhyme game online for free?+

Yes. Play directly in your browser, with no account or download. Sound starts only after you press play.

Does it listen to my microphone?+

No. This version does not request a microphone or record your voice. Optional tap timing measures your taps, not your pronunciation.

Is rhyme game the same as rhythm game?+

Rhyme describes matching word sounds; rhythm describes timing. This game combines both, but broader rhythm games can involve music and button inputs with no rhyming words.
